BLACKBURN Rovers' Academy coach Gary Bowyer will tell his players to seize' the moment' when they face Reading in the third round of the FA Youth Cup tonight.

Rovers boast a proud record in the competition, having reached the final on two separate occasions in the last 10 years, and Bowyer is hoping his class of 2006 can embark on another epic run, starting at the Madejski Stadium this evening.

"It's a fantastic opportunity for our lads to play on a Premiership ground," said Bowyer.

"These are the nights when you really find out about your players.

"We've prepared well and we're going there to have a go so we'll see what happens on the night."

Eager to improve on last season's showing, when they bowed out in the fifth round to Brighton and Hove Albion, Rovers will have to cope without the services of Keith Treacy and Jamie Clarke this evening.

Treacy is currently on loan at Stockport County, while Clarke has recently had a hernia operation.
