BLACKBURN Rovers have exited the League Cup on penalties after a 3-3 draw at Carlisle United.
Chris Taylor and Josh Morris missed from the spot as Carlisle won 4-3 on penalties.
Carlisle went ahead in the 14th minute when David Amoo headed home from a Josh Gillies corner, but Rovers levelled six minutes after half time as Tom Cairney’s 30-yard effort was deflected in.
David Dunn then saw a penalty saved by Mark Gillespie after Josh King had been fouled but Chris Taylor headed home Cairney’s corner in the 56th minute.
Carlisle made it 2-2, however, as Lewis Guy nodded in at the far post.
But Judge came off the bench to volley home five minutes into extra time, before Rovers had to play with 10 men following Cairney’s dismissal for a second bookable offence.
Amoo netted his second goal of the game in the 114th minute to make it 3-3, before Carlisle claimed victory in the shoot out.
