A FUTURE James Anderson could have been discovered in talented young cricketer Dominic Humphreys.
Dominic, a Year 10 student at Haslingden High School already plays his beloved sport five times a week.
He plays for the Under 15s and Under 18s second 11 at Norden Cricket Club, plays for Rochdale and also for Lancashire.
Dominic, 15, has also just represented Greater Manchester East in an Under 16s Festival of Cricket held for three days all over Lancashire, Manchester and Merseyside.
Dominic, who is a talented all-rounder, said playing in the festival was a valuable experience for him.
He said: “I knew most of the people who were picked for the Greater Manchester East team because I had either played with them or against them.
“It was a good experience and we got to play in Urmston, Fleetwood and Liverpool. I was allowed three days off school but it was very warm for playing cricket.
“It was a really good experience and we were well fed and looked after. Everyone was very friendly.”
He added: “I have been playing for Lancashire for the last year and am a good all rounder.
“I would like to be the next James Anderson and play for England in test cricket.”
