HARRY Caton was a one-ball hero for Lancashire Under 10s after helping his side to glory at the recent Taunton County Cricket Festival.

On the second day of the festival, Harry found himself centre of attention in the clash with Devon as he took to the crease with the match finely poised with two balls to go with Lancashire needing four runs to win.

But showing nerves of steel, Harry hit his first ball for four to seal a dramatic victory.

Harry plays for Feniscowles Under 11 and Under 13 in the league, as well as the BWD Under 11 town team as wicket keeper/batsman.

He was joined in the team by fellow local youngsters, Harry Singh from East Lancs and Daniel Barber from Euxton.

On day one, Lancashire beat Bucks by six wickets, then defeated Devon on day two thanks to Harry’s heroics.

And on the the final day of the festival, Lancashire drew with Surrey to remain unbeaten throughout the three days and therefore won the competition.
