BURNLEY will kick-off the 2013/14 campaign against Bolton Wanderers next week buoyed by a fourth straight pre-season win.
The Clarets fell behind early when Johan Voskamp survived an offside flag to slot home in the third minute, but Sean Dyche's men were quickly back on level terms through Charlie Austin's first goal of the summer.
The striker found himself under pressure from the centre halves but climbed high to meet Danny Lafferty's left wing cross with a firm header.
Austin missed a couple of quickfire chances to give Burnley the lead but was involved when they did make the breakthrough midway through the first half, combining with Junior Stanislas to set up Dean Marney with the chance to volley past goalkeeper Khalid Sinouh.
Danny Ings added the third after a good build-up down the left, with Austin again playing his part with a one-two on the edge of the box.
Austin added a fourth with his second of the afternoon, converting midfielder David Jones' attempted volley.
He would have completed his hat-trick but for an offside flag denying him another header.
