BRILLIANT Alex Davies roared past 800 league runs for the season as his quickfire 79 helped Lytham back to winning ways in the Liverpool Competition Premier Division.
The Darwen teenager, who is also in the runs for Lancashire seconds, faced just 51 balls and hit nine fours and five sixes as he led his men to a 10-wicket win over Hightown on Saturday.
The win kept Lytham in sixth place in the table, just 22 points behind second spot.
And while they seem a good bet to challange for that position, they are some 83 points adrift of runaway leaders Northern.
Davies is in fine form, though, and has already topped 1,200 runs in all competitions for Lytham this season.
