FORMER Rawtenstall batsman Andrew Clough turned in an excellent all-round display as he tries to lead his new club Oxford to promotion from the Home Counties Premier League Division Two.
Clough, who was a star performer for Rawtenstall until he left the Worswick Memorial Ground to move to Oxford for work reasons, hammered a spectacular 97 and then took two wickets in a draw with Cove.
With leaders Gerrards Cross beating Reading, Clough’s Oxford now find themselves trailing by 28 in second spot, in their bid to return to the top flight.
