RIMINGTON FC celebrated the greatest season in the club’s history with a sparkling presentation awards evening at Whalley Golf Club.
The first team won the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup at Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium, the East Lancs League First Division – for the sixth consecutive season – and their eighth Craven Cup victory. The reserves were runners-up in their division and won the Norman Pratt Trophy for third year in a row.
Robert Lloyd topped the goal-scoring charts with 50 goals, to win the league award, adding the Goal and Player of the Season.
Skipper Craig Sargeson won the Players’ Player prize and John-Paul Fagan the Managers’ Award. Luke Conti won the reserve division’s top scorer, Goal of the Season, Player and Players’ Player, while Ben Westhead was the Young Player, and James Taylor took the Manager’s Award.
Player-coach Jon Penman won the Clubman of the Year prize and Phil Hodgson was the Chairman’s choice
