Chris Garrity confirmed his reputation as one of the best young kick boxers around after winning his second national title of the year.
The 10-year-old from Ramsey’s Kick Boxing Club, won the English 40kg title after beating local rival Hargreaves of Fit To Fight Kick Boxing Club in Accrington on a bout held at Poplar Working Men’s Club.
It follows his success in the 35kg where he beat Danny Parker to win the national title in a competition held at Audley Sports Centre back in March.
The Longshaw Primary School pupil, has only been competing for the last two years and in that time has also won regional and inter club competitions.
But Chris is not alone when it comes to Ramsey Kick Boxing Club fighters enjoying success.
Connor Gray won the North West area title while there have also been successes for Lewis Jackson, Martin McDonagh, Jakey McDonagh, John McDonagh and Lee Cox Junior – the son of former British champion Lee Cox.
- Lee Cox is now holding Thai Boxing course at Paul Ramsey Kick Boxing Club. For details on both ring Lee Cox on 07514 232844 or Paul Ramsey on 07809 655474.
