Aaron Mokoena is backing Benni McCarthy to be the catalyst to a Blackburn Rovers resurgence and break his two-month barren spell in the Premiership.
Mokoena said of his fellow South African: "Benni's a goalscorer and a fantastic player but this is a different type of football to what he's used to.
"He needs a bit of time to adapt to that but he's still managed to score a few goals so far and he'll get better and better.
"He's an experienced player - he's an old guy now in football terms - and he knows how to work through this current situation.
"I've got great belief in Benni and I'm sure the gaffer has as well.
"That's why he brought him here in the first place.
"He's lucky that he's got someone like Mark Hughes to work alongside because he was a striker himself, and he knows exactly what to say to Benni in this situation."
