BARDEN Primary School once again demonstrated why they are such a big hit in Burnley after winning the Asda Girls Kwik Cricket competition for the third successive year.
The talented youngsters maintained the school’s recent reputation and will now represent the borough at the county finals to be held at Unsworth Cricket Club later today.
Lancashire Women off-spinner Jenny Laycock, who is also the LCC women’s cricket development officer, was guest of honour at Lowerhouse CC and handed out the awards.
Christ the King RC Primary School were runners-up with Padiham Green Primary and St John’s Burnley tieing for third place.
