FORMER skipper Jamie Kelly returns to the Edenfield side for the first time since the middle of last season as the Ribblesdale League raiders bid to upset Haslingden tonight.
The classy batsman has been out with a serious knee injury – but he takes to the Bentgate field for the Group B game in the third round of matches of the Moorhouse’s Twenty20.
It’s a tough return for Kelly as Haslingden are looking the real deal in all forms of the game but Edenfield followed up week one’s hammering at Ramsbottom with an impressive win over Rawtenstall last Friday.
Former West Indian Test man Brenton Parchment again leads Haslingden in the short form, although they are missing a clutch of regulars as they bid to make it two wins from two.
The other Group B game sees Rawtenstall heading up to Lanehead.
Nelson have impressed in Group C but Neil Thompson’s men are inactive tonight so all eyes are on their Pendle rivals Colne.
Matt Walker’s men have won both their games so far and travel to face Lowerhouse, who were beaten in a thriller last week by Nelson.
Burnley welcome Todmorden to Turf Moor two days before the sides meet at the same ground in the Foster’s Lancashire League.
Group A is as competitive as ever and Adam Bracewell hit the ground running last week as he smashed a sensational century in the win over Church.
He takes his men on the short trip to Rishton for a game that is sure to be played in front of a big crowd, while East Lancashire also bid to make it two from two.
They face luckless Church at Alexandra Meadows.
All games start at 6.15pm.
