WITH the dust barely settled on another season, Burnley are already looking ahead to the next campaign.
And the Holden Road club is planning for the 2013/14 season – looking to recruit players for its three senior teams.
The club will be running touch rugby sessions during the summer and welcomes players who have been lost to the game or complete new beginners.
The touch rugby sessions will begin on Thursday, June 13 (7-8pm) and will run for five weeks.
Player/coach Simon Finnan, who is also the Burnley Community coach is running the touch rugby sessions and is hoping for a big turnout.
“Touch rugby is a great way to get involved in the game, either for those coming back to rugby or those trying it for the first time,” said Finnan who guided Burnley to seventh place in North Lancs League One.
“Hopefully we will get a big turnout and they’ll get a taster for playing.”
The sessions are for players aged over 17 and anyone interested should contact Burnley Community Coach Simon Finnan at caldervale78@hotmail.co.uk or 07988 122186.
