BLACKBURN suffered another defeat at home as they went down to promotion-chasing Aspatria.
Poor tackling proved to be costly for the home side as Aspatria ran in three tries within a 15 minute period to effectively take the game away from Blackburn before half time.
Aspatria scored the opening try of the game but Burn hit back and when Damian Miller was stopped just short of the try line, Alex Evans picked and drove for the line to score his first try for the 1st XV.
But poor defence allowed Aspatria to regain the initiative and ran in three quick tries to lead 28-5 at the break. Blackburn started the second half brightly and Nick Smith kicked a penalty and captain Chris Lowden crossed for a try after good work from Josh Oldland and Theo Coleman.
Aspatria, down to 13 men, crossed for one more try to make it 33-13 and condemn Blackburn to their fourth home defeat of the season at Ramsgreave Drive.
