ROSSENDALE recorded their best win of the season to avenge one of their most bizarre losses of their campaign.
Dale ran in eight tries for a welcome bonus point victory – with outside half Steve Nutt picking up a personal haul of 24 points.
Nutt kicked all but one of the conversions and started and ended the rout with the opening and closing tries at Marl Pits.
Dale had scored 31 points in the first meeting between the teams up in Cumbria in Sepetember but still ended up losing as Billingham won 45-31.
This again proved to be a high scoring contest only this time it was Dale who were to do most of the damage.
Nutt got the ball rolling with the opening try but failed to slot over the conversion.
However, he wasn’t to miss again.
Anthony Bingham crossed for the first of his two tries in quick succession and Nutt converted both to take Dale 19-0 up.
Billingham’s reply was brief, a try making it 19-5 before Dale dominated the remainder of the contest.
Danny Harrison crossed for a brace, Jamie Albinson and Danny Collins both got in on the try-scoring act before, fittingly, Nutt finished what he had started with the eighth try.
