TIM Fourie is confident his team can return to winning ways at Birkendale Park on Saturday.
Dale lost at Lymm last time out to halt a run of three straight bonus point victories.
But with a near full squad to pick from – only prop Leyton Taylor and Fourie himself a doubt – the South African player/coach is confident his side can continue to climb National League Three.
But he warned victory against struggling Birkenhead is no foregone conclusion.
“Just because they are struggling doesn’t mean we can go there and expect to win,” said Fourie. “We have to go there in the right frame of mind.
“If we do that and approach the game correctly then we have a very good chances of getting back to winning ways.”
Fourie will undergo a late fitness test on a hamstring strain but reports a clean bill of health elsewhere.
“I’ve pulled a hamstring I didn’t know I had so we’ll have to wait and see.”
