ROSSENDALE’S three-match winning run was brought to an end after losing at Lymm.
The Marl Pits outfit, who have struggled with injuries all season, have found some form in recent games and had risen up to sixth in National League Three North on the back of wins against West Hartlepool, Waterloo and Penrith.
However, thanks to tries from Danny Collins and Steve Nutt they didn’t go empty handed as they picked up a bonus point.
Lymm crossed first but a Collins try and Nutt kick gave Dale a 7-5 lead.
Lymm crossed for a second try but a Nutt penalty tie the score at 10-10.
However, a try and penalty opened up an eight-point cushion for the hosts and while Nutt crossed for Dale’s second try another Lymm penalty made it 21-15.
