What’s your favourite gadget?
I quite like our Remoska.
It’s an eastern European (Czech?) electric oven, looks a bit like an upside down electric frying pan (never had one of those).
We have pretty big electric oven, what 15-20 cubic feet and really only worth using if we have a houseful at Christmas etc.
So when we discovered the Remoska we were well pleased. Heats up quickly, great for doin proper JACKET spuds, bacon, soups, stews, Yorkshire puds etc etc.
I can highly recommend, good recipe book etc too.
On my car now it’s got trip meters, how many mpg, mph, miles to fuel required, temp outside, cruise control, air con…bit of a difference from that very first old GPO van with wind open windscreen, one wiper, 3 gears, no heater, no radio, flag indicators of the early 1960s!
A bit later and we’d saved up for a radiogram, a one speakered combined record player, radio & tape (to tape) huge piece of furniture.
What else can I remember?
Jasper Carrot’s gadget “skitting” of “Bonko” See the back of your head-osope and Knee Gauge.
Remember?
But what is your favourite gadget…now, in the past…or that you’d like to invent?
