Today Cow Ark was silent from any passing traffic again.
The oil company, Townson Bros, was unable to get their tanker up the lane so our oil is critically low.
In the next day or so we will completely run out leaving us without central heating, the Aga or hot water.
My neighbour's husband faces a long walk back to Marl Hill in freezing temperatures as he has no choice but to leave his car at the beginning of the lane.
I am planning how I can get the children to school tomorrow if their school reopens.
The only option I can see is to take the children two miles down the lane on daddy's quad bike where they can meet their regular school taxi driver waiting for them on the fell road.
My neighbour has the same dilemma, so my husband may be up early transporting this family to their car to get to work and school too.
Let's hope there is no more snow in the night.
