It's been very hectic in the AtmosFEAR! Scare Attractions' production office.
Since my last blog we've made some significant changes to Scare Kingdom Scream Park which opens at Hawkshaw Farm Park, home of Mrs Dowson's famous ice cream, in Clayton-le-Dale, Blackburn, this Halloween.
In addition to our headlining attractions: 'Blood Bath', 'Dead Alive' and 'Hubble Bubble' we've now got several ancillary attractions for our guests to enjoy, ensuring the park will offer a whole night of scary entertainment.
Guests will watch in awe as 'Sir Scare-a-Lot' comes spookily to life; he is an elaborate projection effect manufactured in the USA and being shipped over to East Lancashire in time for the park's opening.
'Moaning Mordred' has been added to the themed catering area, which we have now re-named 'The Greedy Gargoyle Café', and guests will hear Mordred's disembodied mumblings emanating from an old ivy clad coffin as he tells spooky tales and jokes from beyond the grave.
Guests who are brave enough can pose with our scareactors for a unique photographic souvenir in 'Frightful Photography'. Definitely one for the album!
We have commissioned the UK's most prolific designer of horror masks to create the look for our icon character 'Dr Van Der Blood' for the Blood Bath attraction, which will also feature a variety of cannibals, a claustrophobia effect, and a psycho nurse!
Last weekend we took over the 16th century Stirk House Hotel near Gisburn for the filming of our trailer advertisement which explains the park's back-story and introduces some of the frightening attractions for the first time - I'll tell you all about it in my next blog!
