I DON'T like the way this government is spending our money.
Huge amounts, billions in fact, are being sent abroad to Poland and similar places by way of family allowances, while another large lump - and we're talking millions in winter warmer sums - are being paid to expat pensioners living overseas in warm climates to help them fight the cold! Now, how daft is that?
And then we've lots of young folk on disability, why?
The government made it easy because they wanted to hide the unemployment figures.
And that's the reason they're now trying to bring in children staying at school until they are 18, whether they are academically inclined or not.
What a farce!
They're having trouble at the moment getting a lot of the youngsters to show interest until they are 14!
Higher education for all is not the way forward.
Some youngsters thrive on it but others, with more hands-on skills, would rather be earning, and learning a trade, and not at college but with someone qualified at the job.
Schooling is not always the answer.
Take nursing, which they took out of the wards and into the universities, only to find that after three years' book tuition in class, most trainee nurses suffered a shock to discover that nursing is a very hard and often dirty job.
Quite a lot quit, so all that schooling, time and cost is lost.
We have people in power who think everyone should be on a par - mediocre.
That we should have no competition, no losers, and that everyone should have the same, be the same.
They don't want winners.
But I'm afraid without the winners we are all losers.
