THIS week we heard about fly-tippers who have ruined a much-loved beauty spot in Roddlesworth by dumping more than 500 tyres there.
What a shame that some people can be so selfish to ruin an area that gives others so much enjoyment just because they can't be bothered disposing of something properly or paying someone to do it.
Sadly we live in a disposable society nowadays. When something's served its purpose we chuck it away.
Although that's just a sign of the times, it really riles me that some people can't even be bothered to throw something away properly.
Watching someone casually dropping a sweet wrapper or cigarette butt on the floor without a care in the world makes me want to chase after them and ram it down their throat.
Half the problem, I think, is that these people are too stupid or too ignorant to understand that their selfish actions means we all have to pay more taxes to cover the cost of cleaning up their mess.
