Linda Mora Torrontes 2014, £5.99, Co-op
The white Torrontes grape was historically grown in the Galicia region of north west Spain but these days it’s best known in wines from a Spanish speaking country in another continent – Argentina. The colour is a striking golden yellow and it’s bursting with honey and citrus fruits. Alcohol is 12.5% and this award winner is a real bargain.
Coeur de Cardeline Rose 2013, £8.99, Co-op
Rose wines remind me of sunny holidays and this delicately pink beauty from the coastal part of Provence in France is a good example. Grenache and Cinsault grapes give it raspberry and red cherry flavours that are pleasantly dry and transport you to a table in a chic French restaurant. Alcohol is 12.5% and it’s a dream drink.
