IT'S a few decades, five, since I was left with no option but to sit & endure a Eurovision Song Competition.
I have never watched a Dallas, Friends or a Neighbours. My current must watch /must record (anyone else still lapse into "video"?) Prey with John Simm, that Happy Valley with Sarah Lancashire, the German produced World War II BBC 2 programme & Crimson Fields, set in World War I.
In the morning I watch BBC Breakfast. I've tried to watch the various ITV reincarnated competitiors. But with that numpty from Hollywood, vacuous presenters, quizzes without any questions & no News but Sooty at the weekend, I give up!
I am grappling with remotely controlled "catch up", streaming & am on boxed set Series 3 of Game of Thrones.
Remember when there was only 2 or 3 channels, perhaps a bit of News at lunch time, then a teatime proper start till about 11pm finish? Some For Schools programmes scattered through the day?
How many channels these days? No idea! Retro repeats, Shopping, History, Arts, Sport galore, God even? Getting a bit out of hand?
What bit of new technology is your favourite, your nemesis?
What do you wish was available? 24/7 Blue Peter channel, Woodentops, Crossroads?
What's not happening when all this Tosh is emanating in our 3 or 4 sources of televisual delight many of us seem to possess at home?
