Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall?
It's the season, love and understanding.
And the bells were ringing out for Christmas Day.
Oh, I won't ask for much this Christmas.
I'm not particularly formally religious. Though I do recognise my Christian imbued upbringing. I recognise the respectful roles the religions of our world have and do play in many millions of people's lives.
I like Christmas and it's message of hope. A new start, a new optimistic start. Light. Lights. Not the LED flashing Santas, the icicles. reindeers etc, but simple, beautiful natural light. Shining to show us the way or to act as beacons for us to follow.
Is it a time to reflect? Could we have been better people during the last year? Can we learn any lessons?
And, of course, the vexing palaver over New Years Resolutions. How long do they usually last?
I'm going to enjoy the family & friend's conviviality of Christmas.
Perhaps we should all resolve to do one little thing a little better both over Christmas but into the future too?
Spend a bit more time with some? See the good in people? Help people who could benefit from our help?
Any BRIGHT ideas?
