PUPILS at Newchurch CoE Primary School paid tribute to their favourite fictional characters.
Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Dracula, James bond, and the Wizard of Oz were just some of the colourful costumes that lit up the corridors at the Rossendale school on Friday.
Lancashire Telegraph reporter Alex Willmott visited to speak about the importance of reading and gave a brief talk on the daily life of a reporter in Rossendale.
Averil Culverhouse, headteacher, also contributed to the Children in Need day activities by dressing up as Pocahontas.
After the celebration assembly, she said: “The pupils have done really well with their attitude and creativity.
"It’s just fitting how imaginative the children are here and the effort they put into everything.”
