EYE drops which police say are ‘potentially harmful’ have been stolen from a business in Holcombe Brook.
The two locked security boxes were stolen in a burglary at Holcombe Precinct around 5.30am on March 27.
Police are now asking the public to report any sightings of a 30cm by 20cm blue metal box that was stolen, or the drugs that were held inside.
Shaun Dwyer said: “The packages are described as being lilac or white cardboard boxes covered with the manufacturer's name Bausch & Lomb, each containing 20 vials of an anaesthetic eye drop.
“The vials are made of opaque plastic, have Prox Fln printed on them and contain a yellow-coloured liquid which is classed as a poison and can be harmful in large doses.
“The others are three small bottles of Chloromphenicol, a clear liquid which is classed as a drug.
“If you have seen these, or know of anyone who may have them please contact us.”
One of the security boxes was later found in Hawkshaw, but with the contents missing.
Anyone with information can call police on 0161 8568133 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
