REVISED plans for homes on the site of a former mill in Whitworth – increasing the scope of the estate by 12 homes – have found favour with councillors.
Originally developers Persimmon Homes were given the go-ahead to erect 85 homes on land which once housed Orama Mill, Hall Street. But partway through construction work the company has become concerned it may not be able to sell some of the larger properties envisaged.
So they returned to Rossendale Council with plans for an additional 12 homes.
