Music-loving crowds descended on Sawley for the Beatherder festival, with some surprise special guests attending the event this year.
Comedy folk band the Lancashire Hotpots made a welcome return to the festival and introduced an unusual guest to the bill, Mr Motivator, who did a turn on stage after the Hotpots' set.
Accrington-born Coronation Street actress Vicky Entwistle, better know as Janice Battersby judged a talent competition on Saturday afternoon in the Working Men's Club tent, while the addition of a brand new tent, appropriately named 'The New Tent' provided festival-goers with some stand up comedy.
Among acts to appear on the main stage were a Prodigy tribute band and local acts Gideon Conn and The Ragamuffins.
Regulars to the festival Utah Saints played the Toiltrees stage on Friday night, and there was the usual array of independent food, clothing and craft stalls on the Dockber Farm site, which has expanded in size since last year, to accomodate 7,000, making it the biggest Beatherder Festival in its 4 year history.
