WEDDING guests have been interviewed following a terrifying raid on a country hotel which saw robbers flee with thousands of pounds in cash.
Two masked raiders tied up a porter at Mitton Hall, Mitton, in the early hours of Monday before targeting the hotel’s safe just hours after wedding celebrations had come to an end.
And Detective Inspector Claire Holbrook, who is leading the investigation, said they were keen to hear from anyone with information about the raid.
She said: “We have spoken to hotel guests and staff and have managed to question the porter again now that he has recovered from the shock of the incident.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious vehicles on the road on Monday morning or any other suspicious behaviour in the area.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 0845 1253545 or Crimestoppers on 0800 55111.
