COMEDY fans will be able to get their dose of live stand-up on their doorsteps from this week when a brand new comedy night launches in the Aspinall Arms, Mitton.
From tonight, three top-class acts from the national stand-up circuit will appear at the venue every month.
To kick-start the event comedians Mark Rough, Roland Gent and Chris Roche will perform.
They will be joined by compare Mel Moon —who has been likened to Victoria Wood and Billy Connolly.
Mark Rough — nicknamed the Mackem Motormouth — is observational, modern, fresh and above all side-splittingly funny.
Roland Gent is known for the warmth of his comedy and often leaves his audience gasping for breath.
And Oldham's Chris Roche is famed for his cheeky tales of growing up in Oldham and the frustrations of fatherhood.
The next gig nights will be Friday, September 19, October 17 and November 21.
Admission £2 on the door. Visit www.aspinallarms.co.uk/comedy.htm
