PLANS to construct four houses in Hurst Green have been submitted to Ribble Valley Borough Council.
If approved later this year, the development would be built on land adjacent to The Dene, off Avenue Road.
The proposal for the four one and a half storey dwellings is on a ‘green field site’.
In a statement to the council, a spokesman for agents J Pye Planning, said: “The proposed dwellings are totally in character of the area, it is on designated Green Field Land, which can be proven historically from mapping.
“The plot should be considered in fill therefore planning policy as detailed in the design and access statement allows this type of development. It will create a better use of the site and enhance the existing properties.”
Residents have been given until Tuesday, February 25, to submit their opinions on the proposal to the borough council.
