RIBBLE Valley pubs have been included in a list of the top 50 gastro pubs in the country.
The Parkers Arms in Newton in Bowland and the Freemasons at Wiswell have been named in the annual list by The Publicans Morning Advertiser.
The two pubs were the only ones from Lancashire to make the list for 2014.
The Freemasons are 28th on the list and The Parkers Arms are in 48th place.
Steven Smith, head chef at the Freemasons, said: “We are happy to be flying the flag for the region and we have gone up nine places from last year.
“I’m happy to be named on the list again but I want to do even better for myself and the region.”
Stosie Madi, joint owner of The Parkers Arms, said: “We firmly believe this highlights that Parkers Arms and the Ribble Valley is a firm food tourism destination packed with great food establishments.”
