A PUBLIC meeting will be held to discuss the future of a Ribble Valley pub.
The Black Bull, in Rimington, closed in October and owners Steve Hodgson and Katherine Lachance put it up for sale.
The business is included on the borough council’s Register of Community Assests and groups and individuals have been given until Monday to express an interest in taking over the site, before it goes on the market.
In December, only six people attended an emergency meeting to discuss the future of the pub after it was placed on the register by Rimington Parish Council.
If the pub is not taken on by a new group the pub’s co-owners intend to convert the building into a house.
The public meeting will be held at Rimington Memorial Institute at 7pm today.
For more information or to register your interest, call Ribble Valley Borough Council’s head of legal and democratic services, Diane Rice, on 01200 414418.
