A CHURCH took a trip back in time when it held a Downton Abbey-inspired Christmas fair.

Volunteers at St John’s Church, Hurst Green, were encouraged to dress in traditional garb at their stalls to add to the retro atmosphere.

Church members Gill Jacques and Clare Hyde, left, got into the spirit, as did Barbara Wilkinson, pictured above with her delicious fruit cake.
