A CHARITY dinner dance is to be hosted by the Ribble Valley Mayor and Mayoress on Saturday, November 9.
The event, at the Shireburn Arms Hotel, Hurst Green, will raise funds for SSAFA (Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Familes Association) and the charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
The evening is set to include a three-course dinner and entertainment by top Lancashire crooner Wayne Farrow.
Ribble Valley Mayor Richard Sherras, 79, recently raised £1,400 for the two charities following a 10,000ft skydive at Cockerham.
His mayoress is family friend Lynne Pate, who is set to accompany him to the event.
Tickets to the dinner dance and entertainment are priced at £35.
They are available from Mrs Pate on 01200 445513, or from the Mayor’s secretary Olwen Heap who can be contacted by ringing 01200 414408.
