A student from Leyland has been named as one of Lancashire's top marketing students in an annual event.
Janine Worthington, from Leyland, studied at the University of Central Lancashire and was the winner at the Professional Postgraduate Diploma level.
She was honoured by the Chartered Institute of Marketing - a top industry body - at a celebration evening at a Preston hotel last week.
She received the award from the institute's regional chairman, Garry MacLaren, with tutors, friends and family in the audience.
Mr MacLaren said: "It was great to see the students winning the awards and receiving the much deserved praise.
"The standard of work across the whole region has been exceptionally high this year so, I'm looking forward to seeing what 2007 has to offer."
