NEW Lancashire county council children’s traffic clubs will put road safety, healthy lifestyles and sustainable travel at the top of their agenda.
Run in children centres, nurseries and primary schools they will provide user-friendly material on how to stay safe on the streets and develop an active lifestyle by choosing to walk and cycle.
The clubs provide three DVD packs which feature weekly activities carefully structured to follow youngsters’ development County transport boss John Fillis said: "Keeping children safe and healthy is one of our most important priorities. “This initiative will help families to get the road safety message across to their children at home and encourage more walking and cycling.”
