LANESHAWBRIDGE School is being opened up for the community in the evening to be used as a bingo hall.
The bingo, organised by volunteers to provide a space for the older residents in the village to meet once a month, will take place on Wednesday.
The village has no hall, but it is hoped the bingo at the school, which is accessible and central in Emmot Lane, will pave the way for further events.
The Alma Inn, currently undergoing renovations, have sponsored the event and donated £100 in prizes.
The event will begin at 6.30pm, and entry will be free for the first session.
There will be cheese and wine, as well as tea and coffee.
If you wish to attend but may have trouble getting to the venue, contact Paul White on 07866 684531.
