PLANS have been submitted for 13 new homes on an industrial site in Pendle.
The Sutton Family Trust wants to demolish disused workshops belonging to Weston Electric Units Ltd in Station Road in Foulridge.
It proposes to replace them with three and four-bedroomed houses.
It has submitted a planning application to Pendle Council.
A Design and Access Statement supporting the application prepared by campbelldriver partnership architects says: "The site is located on Station Road, Foulridge.
"The Leeds and Liverpool canal forms the Northern boundary to the
site and to the south the B6251. The site is currently occupied by 2 disused industrial building.
"The proposed development application is to create a cohesive townscape which will provide much needed housing.
"The proposed masterplan includes house type’s ranging from three-bed bungalows to three-storey, three-bed mews-style houses.
"The aim is to provide housing in line with the requirements of Pendle Borough Council and create a community identity throughout the development which aims to create separate residential courtyards containing a mixture of different house types which will create micro communities within the larger residential community.
"It is proposed to use coursed and random natural stone facing to the external walls; timber framed double glazed windows; and natural slate roof covering."
