A DRUNKEN man who armed himself with a seven inch bladed knife and threatened his parents was arrested after they called police, a court heard.

Burnley magistrates were told how Simon Coates, 33, was thought to have taken drugs and had then become violent.

And in the rumpus that followed, Coates had thrown things around, took a large knife upstairs, refused to leave and scared and intimidated his parents.

Coates, of Meadow Close, Reedley, admitted breaching the peace and was bound over in the sum of £100, for six months.
