THE annual Laneshaw Bridge bonfire will take place on Saturday, on land off Emmott Lane.
The free entry event has grown year on year.
In 2011, more than 1,000 people attended the event, which relies on the support of local companies to go ahead. The fire will be lit at 7.30pm, and there will be refreshments available, including a barbecue and hog roast.
The event also features a firework display, and people will be able to get their hands on bonfire favourites, such as toffee apples.
