Extra spaces in childcare
PROSPECTIVE Conservative candidate for Pendle, Andrew Stephenson, claims new figures confirm the current government has delivered 3,200 extra free childcare places across Lancashire.
He quoted figures provided by the Department for Education.
Mr Stephenson said they showed an extra 1,800 free childcare places have been funded since 2010 for three and four-year-olds.
Since 2014, there have also been 1,400 places for children aged two for the first time.
