PARISH councillors in North Turton are backing a bid to replace a shop in Edgworth.
Plans to demolish the Village Greens premises in Bolton Road and build a new shop with first floor living accommodation, were originally turned down by planners.
An appeal has been lodged and the Planning Inspectorate will re-examine the case, a move backed by councillors.
