THE deadline for applications to become the new headteacher at a Blackburn school is today.
The position at Pleckgate High School became vacant after former head Cherry Ridgeway resigned following the school’s rating as ‘inadequate’ and resultant placing in special measures by Ofsted in February, 2014. The role has been filled by Mark Bradshaw on a temporary basis since March last year.
Pleckgate came out of special measures earlier this month after being rated as ‘requiring improvement’.
