MP visit clash
DARWEN MP Jake Berry was unable to attend a debate of the town’s General Election candidates last night because he had arranged to visit elderly constituents who could not make it to his surgeries.
A spokesman for Mr Berry’s office said: “We were only invited a few days ago and the home visits were arranged more than a month ago.”
