THE children’s play area in Oswaldtwistle is set to be officially opened next Tuesday.
Improvements worth £103,000 have been completed at the West End Play Area, two years after teenager David Reid launched a campaign calling for better facilities.
A host of features have been installed including swings, a slide, a roundabout, a trampoline and an aerial runway.
