A CHORLEY man died of natural causes, it was ruled yesterday.
An inquest into the death of Fredrick Shorrocks, 92, who lived at the Sandybrook House care home in Lower Darwen, found he died from pneumonia, with a stroke, dementia, and hypertension contributory factors. Mr Shorrocks was subject to a Deprivation of Liberty order due to his mental state.
He was admitted to Royal Blackburn Hospital on Thursday, February 26 struggling to catch his breath.
He died the following day.
Coroner Michael Singleton concluded the retired brewery store-man died of natural causes.
