TURTON homeowner Dale Edgington has been given approval to add a single-storey side extension linking a garage to his house in Chapel Grange, Chapeltown.
Blackburn with Darwen planning committee gave him permission for the addition despite objections from Turton Parish Council and neighbours. The property in Chapel Grange is at the head of a cul-de-sac.
Councillors approved the scheme after Mr Edgington submitted amended drawings following the letters of objection.
The objectors had told the committee that the proposals was ‘out of context’ with the rural atmosphere of the village.
