PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson has told parliament he believes the best way to avoid radicalisation is to talk to the Muslim community.
Mr Stephenson He said: “Dialogue with the vast majority of the law-abiding Muslim community in this country is the best way to avoid radicalisation, rather than stigmatising communities.”
Home secretary Theresa May responded: “One of the best ways to prevent radicalisation is for communities themselves to stand up and say that what is being done by terrorists is not being done in their name.”
